angry toddlerWorking with parents of young children, one concern I consistently hear (though parents are often slow or embarrassed to admit it) is that they feel out of control, easily angered, or in a constant power struggle with their developing toddlers. While it is a challenging time, many parents view it as an expected phase, foregoing any professional support and riding it out, counting down the days until the terrible two’s (or three’s) subside. However, what many parents don’t know is that, while this developmental stage may pass, the (mis)management of it now may mean problems for years to come.
